Nara Smith’s cookbook press tour style streak just keeps going. From a sculptural strapless Ilya Migmoon gown with cone bras, exaggerated hips, and floral detailing to Daniel Roseberry’s Spring 2027 vegetable-embroidered Schiaparelli ensemble to a rare, highly-coveted 1990 Mugler flower-petal minidress, she and stylist Thomas Christos Kikis have been pulling from independent designers, fashion archives, and recent runways alike.

For the content creator’s latest look, the duo went the third route, selecting a fringe-trimmed Kallmeyer look from the Resort 2027 collection. Giving the illusion of layered scarves, the black-and-white dress was draped from overlapping pieces of floral-embroidered fabric. It was designed with a halter neckline, an elongated key-hole detail, and an open back, with a long tiered skirt that was at once dramatic and timeless.
Smith paired the piece with little diamond earrings and classic pumps, and pulled her hair back into a bun for a day of press in New York City.

Titled Homemade, the chef’s debut cookbook was released on October 13. Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar on the accomplishment, she revealed that she always wanted to be a writer, though she “always thought it would be fiction first.”
“I naturally slipped into this whole social-media cooking realm, which is so fun to me. And a lot of my comments years ago, when everything kicked off, were ‘We need the recipes! Where are the recipes? She’s going to make a cookbook from scratch!’ All these comments that I saw kind of prompted me to start writing it. Then I found a bigger purpose in writing it, which is having a part of my upbringing through my grandma live on in this book with everything else that is sprinkled in. So it truly stemmed from people wanting it and me opening my mind to that possibility, because I never really thought that I would be in a position to do that. So I’m very grateful for that.”
